CHRIS LOADER
RACING JOURNALIST
MY STORY
In 2016 I fell in love with the sport of Horseracing whilst recovering from life changing surgery. After visiting the Betfair Commentary Challenge at Ascot in February 2017 the adrenaline and thrill of the experience hooked me to become a racing journalist. That moment inspired me to follow my dream and I completed an MA in Sports Broadcast Journalism at Southampton Solent University leaving with a merit in August 2018. During my journey I have worked and had lots of different experiences across the racing media spectrum. Some of the organisations I have worked with include:
At The Races/Sky Sports Racing
Racing Post
Jockey Club - Wincanton Racecourse
BBC Radio Sussex
BBC Radio Five Live
In the Autumn of 2018 & Spring of 2019 I underwent the final phases of bowel reconstruction surgery. I currently run my own Youtube Channel called Lucky Loaders 15 giving daily tips as well as working in association GG.co.uk & Racing Tips. I also work for Square In The Air in their racing content team and as a researcher for Sky Sports Racing. For more information and details of my work please see my portfolio.
